Whether you’re an avid camper or just need an extra surface on the go, this fold-down table offers a sturdy and convenient workspace that attaches seamlessly to your Jimny’s rear door. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the easy installation process, so you can add this versatile accessory to your vehicle in no time.

Follow these simple steps to install the Jimny Drop-Down Table to the rear door of your Suzuki Jimny:

Tools and Materials Required:

  • M6 nutserts
  • M6 bolts and washers (included in the installation kit)
  • Nutsert tool
  • 9mm drill bit
  • Drill
  • Rubber seal (included)
  • Paint or rust prevention solution

Step 1: Prepare the Rear Door

  1. Open the rear door of your Jimny.
  2. Remove the plastic trim from the door. This trim is secured with plastic clips, so gently pry it off to expose the mounting holes.

Step 2: Enlarge the Holes

  1. Using a 9mm drill bit, carefully enlarge the existing holes on the door where the table will be mounted. Use light pressure as you are only increasing the hole size slightly.
  2. After drilling, it’s important to protect the exposed metal. Apply a rust-prevention solution (such as paint or a rust sealant) to the drilled areas to prevent corrosion.

Step 3: Install the Nutserts

  1. Insert the M6 nutserts into the enlarged holes.
  2. Use a nutsert tool to secure the nutserts in place. Ensure that each nutsert is tightly fastened, providing a strong anchor for the table.

Step 4: Attach the Rubber Seal

  1. Take the rubber seal provided in the kit and attach it to the back of the table. This seal closes the gap between the table and the door, ensuring a snug fit.

Step 5: Mount the Table

  1. Align the table with the nutserts in the door.
  2. Use the M6 bolts and washers provided to secure the table to the door, tightening each bolt to ensure the table is securely mounted.

Final Check:

Once all bolts are secured, double-check that the table is sturdy and level. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out through the comments or contact Get Good Gear directly for support.
