The Townsville Fishing and Outdoor Expo May 24th

The Townsville Fishing and Outdoor Expo celebrates 20 years this weekend at the Townsville Turf Club, Cluden. Presented to you by the Townsville Sportfishing Club this event continues to grow every year. From the days of the Dalrymple hotel with only a handful of exhibitors, we now have well over 100 exhibitors on the ground this year there isn’t a square meter left to fill.

Event Manager Jodie Kennedy said “We can’t wait to open the gates on Saturday morning for the public to get in for some amazing expo specials from our dealers and enjoy all that is on offer. Our stage program is quiet full this year as well and I am keen to see what Phippsy is going to cook up this year, the ingredient list is interesting so Im keen to be the head taste tester again this year”

The kids will have plenty to do, with the Tackleworld Reel Challenge on again. Fastest to wind in their wooden fish will win some great prizes – there was some keen little anglers last year showing off their talents.

The Townsville Sportfishing Committee who are responsible for the event inception are thrilled that the event continues to attract new exhibitors with a new variety of items to show.

Our local boat dealers have come on board again and we are also welcoming out of town dealers this year from Mackay, Mission Beach and even Brisbane.   New Tackle shops are emerging in the north and they will also be on hand to help out with tips and advise.

Our favourite MC Scotty Hiller will be talking with the exhibitors throughout the show as well telling us all about Blue Water Fishing and how to catch the big one.

We have new 4WD exhibitors and campervan exhibitors showing all the new mod cons for camping and off-roading in this great part of the world. We welcome with open arms the new variety of equipment for show by these guys.
