From amplifiers to transmissions, vital components in your vehicle simply get hot when you’re running hard. Make sure you keep tabs on the temps with gauges that can handle the heat.[/pullquote]Knowing what your engine is doing is critical for the off roader. Wether you are driving a fully moded beast or the family touring vehicle an acurate gauge can save you thousands of dollars in repairs.

Monitoring oil pressure ensures the longevity of your vehicle and allows you to ensure that the correct pressure is maintained so that your car bearings are well lubricated. This is crucial when traveling at continuous high speeds and towing heavy loads.

  • low oil level,
  • diluted or worn out oil,
  • worn engine bearings,
  • high oil temperature
  • or a worn oil pump.

The key is to establish baseline readings when your engine is healthy, and then be aware of any changes you see over time.[/text_output][line][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row no_margin=”true” padding_top=”0px” padding_bottom=”0px” border=”none”][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]

redarc article 1The full kit:

The Redarc oil and water guage kit comes with everything you need. Water temperature sender, Oil pressure sender and a full wiring harness.

The oil pressure sender is a 1/8 NPT thread and may require an adapter for your engine. It is designed to read between 0 and 150 PSI. This range will suit pretty much any engine requirement. Most vehicles comes with a oil pressure switch, it is recommended you fit a T-Piece adapter to enable you to run both.

The water temp sender is also 1/8 NPT thread and may require an adapter for your engine. Most vehicles come with a temperature sensor from factory so fitting with the correct adapter is fairly straight forward.

The wiring harness is complete with weather proof plugs for the sender and is color coded for easy installation. I would recomend having some split tubing handy and to layout the wiring harness before fitting.

The harness is long enough to fit the majority of engine bays without the need to splice or extend wiring.

Once the harness and senders are securely fitted the gauge is ready to be installed.

The gauge is an industry standard 52mm and will fit into a standard gauge pod or side pillar mount if available for your vehicle.
