Queensland’s biggest 4×4 & outdoors show returns to the RNA Showgrounds from Friday 4th – 6th April 2014. Co-located again with the Brisbane Tinnie & Tackle Show, this event will be a one stop shop for those who love everything about 4wds, the outdoors, fishing and boating.

Brisbane Showground

The Brisbane Exhibition Ground (also known as the RNA Showgrounds and the Ekka Grounds), is a heritage-listed showground established in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia during 1875 especially for Ekka (formally titled the Royal Queensland Show). The Exhibition ground is owned and operated by The Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland. The Ekka is a show held at the Brisbane Exhibition Ground over two weeks in August each year. Because the Ekka is only held over a two-week period each year, other displays and exhibitions are held at the Brisbane Exhibition Ground during the remainder of the year.

Getting to the Show

Located adjacent to the Brisbane CBD, Brisbane Showgrounds is bordered by Bowen Bridge Road, O’Connell Terrace, St Paul’s Terrace and Gregory Terrace at Bowen Hills. We are situated en-route to the Brisbane Domestic and International Airports, and are in easy reach of the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

He didn’t make it back, getting stranded on rocks with an incoming tide. With the body ripped off the chassis as the vehicle was smashed by the waves, Pat took pictures while licking his wounds. He wrote a story about his misadventure for 4X4 Australia magazine, which they published.
